Troubleshooting

I'm getting a "Oops... We're having trouble connecting" popup+
  • Check if you recently changed your internet provider or service.
  • This issue often happens if your router's IPv6 option is enabled. Disable IPv6 and try again.
  • If the problem persists, please email us at hello@funfitland.com.
Stuck on the three-dot loading screen when launching the app+
  • Confirm whether you are using a sub-account.
  • If so, uninstall FunFitLand from both the primary account and the sub-account, then reinstall it on the sub-account.
  • If this does not resolve the issue and it persists for more than two days, contact us at hello@funfitland.com.
My screen freezes during a workout+
  • This can occasionally happen. We're working on finding the root cause.
  • If it occurs, use your controller to Quit App and then restart.
  • We appreciate any reports sent to hello@funfitland.com with details (e.g., device model, which workout it happened in). This helps us troubleshoot and fix it faster.
Lost controllers / "Controller Tracking Lost" popup+
  • If it keeps happening, go to Settings › General › Storage, find FunFitLand (FFL), and clear the app cache.
  • If that doesn't help, please check your system version and email us at hello@funfitland.com. We will share the details with Meta.
I only see about 20 workouts - where are the others?+

FunFitLand currently offers 500+ workouts!

  • Look for the white arrow buttons on the main page to scroll up/down/left/right.
  • You can also move the joystick in all four directions - remember to scroll horizontally as well!
My block accuracy feels low - what can I do?+
  • Make sure your room is well-lit and the lighting is evenly distributed. Avoid bright light shining directly on the Quest cameras.
  • When blocking, keep your hands roughly the same distance apart as your eyes, and lift them parallel at nose height. This helps the system track your movements more accurately.

Mobile App & Heart Rate

LATEST · Why do I see a grayed-out “Purchased” button in the App Store and can't download FunFitLand?+

We're aware that a small number of iOS users are seeing a grayed-out “Purchased” button when trying to download FunFitLand. Based on what we currently know, this appears to be related to App Store distribution. We're in contact with Apple, but it may take some time for the issue to be fully resolved.

In the meantime, please try this temporary workaround:

  1. Go to Settings → App Store → Account → Sign Out.
  2. Return to the App Store and search for FunFitLand. You should now see the Get button.
  3. Tap Get and sign back in with your Apple Account when prompted.
  4. Download the app as usual.

Please only sign out of your App Store account, not your full iCloud account.

If the button is still unavailable, please email hello@funfitland.com with a full screenshot of the App Store page and your App Store country or region. We'll be happy to help.

LATEST · Does my wearable device support Live Heart Rate?+

Live Heart Rate is a new feature that we're very excited about, but it is still being explored and improved. We hope to explore and build it together with our community.

Compatibility can vary depending on your wearable device, software version, and connection method. We don't yet have a complete list confirming support for every device, so we'd love for you to share your experience and help us learn which devices and setups work.

If you're not sure whether your device is compatible, or if you're having trouble connecting it, please email the following information to hello@funfitland.com:

  • The brand and full model name of your wearable device
  • Its software or firmware version
  • Your phone model and operating system version
  • A short description or screenshot of the issue

Please note that a device may be able to measure your heart rate but may not be able to share it live with the FunFitLand App. However, there may also be settings or solutions that we haven't discovered yet.

If you find a connection method or temporary solution that works for your device, we'd love for you to share it with us and the FunFitLand community. Together, we can keep exploring and improving this exciting new feature!

LATEST · How do I install FunFitLand on my Apple Watch?+

After you install the FunFitLand Mobile App on your iPhone, FunFitLand will usually install automatically on your paired Apple Watch if Automatic App Install is enabled.

If you still don't see FunFitLand on your Apple Watch, you can install it manually:

  1. Make sure your Apple Watch is running watchOS 9.0 or later.
  2. Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
  3. Go to My Watch.
  4. Scroll down to Available Apps.
  5. Find FunFitLand and tap Install.

If FunFitLand doesn't appear under Available Apps, make sure you have the latest version of the FunFitLand Mobile App installed on your iPhone. You can also try restarting both your iPhone and Apple Watch.

If you still cannot find it, please email your Apple Watch model, watchOS version, iPhone model, iOS version, and screenshots of the My Watch and Available Apps pages to hello@funfitland.com. We'll help you investigate further.

Which devices show my heart rate in FunFitLand?+

FunFitLand shows your live heart rate during workouts when you connect a supported device:

  • Apple Watch (paired with your iPhone)
  • Wear OS 3 watches and newer, including Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and later
  • Chest straps and arm-worn heart-rate monitors that broadcast over Bluetooth

Not sure about yours? Check whether it can share heart rate with other apps - most makers cover this in the manual. Or just start pairing in the companion app, and we'll tell you right away.

Why isn't my device supported?+

Some devices keep heart rate inside their own app and don't share it with other apps, so we can't read it. These include Fitbit, Xiaomi and Huawei bands, and older Samsung watches (Galaxy Watch 3 and earlier). We're adding support for more over time.

I use a Garmin - how do I connect it?+

A Garmin heart-rate strap pairs like any other Bluetooth heart-rate monitor, and that's the most reliable option. Some Garmin watches can also broadcast heart rate over Bluetooth, but it depends on the model - check your watch's manual. Either way, you don't need a Garmin account.

How do I allow FunFitLand to read my heart rate?+

If you use a watch, FunFitLand needs your permission to read heart rate - this one's easy to miss.

  • iPhone: Settings › Privacy & Security › Health › FunFitLand
  • Android: Health Connect › App permissions › FunFitLand

Allow Heart Rate.

My heart rate shows "--" during a workout. What does that mean?+

It means we're not getting a reading right now - usually the signal dropped for a moment and it comes back on its own within a minute. If your device isn't supported, you'll always see "--".

If it doesn't come back and you use a watch:

  • Is your watch loose? Tighten the band so it doesn't move around while you exercise. Wear it just above your wrist bone.
  • Are your hands cold? Warm them up. Cold hands make it harder for the sensor to read your heart rate.
  • Is FunFitLand allowed to read your heart rate? This one's easy to miss - see "How do I allow FunFitLand to read my heart rate?" above.
  • Is FunFitLand open on your watch? If not, open it again.
  • Is your watch supported? Fitbit, Xiaomi and Huawei keep heart rate inside their own apps, so we can't read it.

If it doesn't come back and you use a chest strap or arm band:

  • Is your strap loose? Tighten it so it stays against your skin while you exercise.
  • Is FunFitLand open on your phone? It needs to stay open. Locking the screen or switching to another app can break the connection.
  • Is your strap supported? Some brands only work with their own app.

Before a long workout, keep your phone charged. Your phone relays your heart rate - if the battery dies, tracking stops.

Still nothing? Contact hello@funfitland.com.

What gives the most accurate heart rate?+

A chest strap or arm-worn heart-rate band is the most accurate - especially in fast, high-movement workouts like Combat. Wrist-based readings can lag or read low when your hands are moving a lot.

Can I hide the heart-rate display?+

Yes. You can turn the heart-rate readout off in workout settings.

Payments

Why did my subscription not go through?+

Most cases are caused by a declined card, an issue with the payment method saved in your Meta account, a PayPal billing problem, or a billing / region restriction. Meta's own help also centers payment troubleshooting around payment methods and purchase issues.

How do I update or change my payment method in Meta?+

Open the Meta Horizon app on your phone, tap Menu, then go to Wallet to add, remove, or update your payment method. Meta also points users there when purchasing subscriptions.

Where can I check or manage my subscription?+

Open the Meta Horizon app, tap Menu, then go to Subscriptions to manage your app subscription. Meta's help for changing and managing subscriptions uses this exact path.

I use PayPal. What should I check?+

Make sure your PayPal account is still properly connected to Meta and that the billing agreement is active. Meta says PayPal must be connected successfully before it can be used for store purchases.

What if my card is valid but the payment still fails?+

Try removing and re-adding the payment method in Meta, or try a different card / payment method. If the issue continues, please contact your bank to check whether the charge was blocked or declined on their side. In some cases, the issue may also come from PayPal or Meta rather than the app itself.

What if the issue is related to my country or billing region?+

Some Meta commerce features are country-dependent, so a billing region mismatch or unsupported setup can block checkout. If your payment method and account look correct but checkout still fails, contacting Meta Support is a reasonable next step.

Still not working?+

Send an email to hello@funfitland.com and we'll help you directly.

Subscriptions & What's Next

How can I see which workouts I've completed?+

Currently, there isn't a feature to mark completed workouts. But we've heard your feedback, and this feature is coming soon!

Can I share one subscription with my family?+

Not at the moment. We are considering a Family Plan for the future - stay tuned for announcements!

Can I gift a subscription to someone else?+

There is no direct gifting method yet, but you can share a referral link that grants a 30-day free trial to someone you care about:

  • In the Horizon app, search for "FunFitLand" and go to the FunFitLand page.
  • Tap the three-dot button and choose Share referral link.
  • You can share this link via WhatsApp, text message, or copy it for later use.
My eyes felt fatigued after working out - any tips to relieve it?+
  • Blink regularly, just like breathing - don't stare for too long.
  • Use moisturizing eye drops if needed.
  • Consider using prescription lenses or inserts if you have vision requirements.
  • Adjust your IPD (interpupillary distance) so that the headset display remains clear and comfortable.
